The story goes that a tribal man in India named Ramesh Munda found a bear cub while collecting firewood in a near by forest. The young cub was abandoned from it's mother and alone. The man took the cub into his family of two; Himself and his daughter. His wife had passed away and Mr. Munda's daughter was still grieving. With this new edition to the family, his daughter began to cheer up. They fed and cared for the cub, until Wildlife Protection officers reported that Munda was breaking the wildlife protection act. Rani the bear was sent to Nandankanan Zoological park. There Rani refused to eat. At home Munda and his daughter became depressed once more and desperate for Rani. In the end, after many complications, the family were able to visit their loved furry friend again at their wish.
Whether or not the bear should be kept in captivity is still under protest,
