There were many reasons why i give this movie 4 and a half stars. The actors/actresses did phenomenal jobs, the plot was interesting and kept you thinking, and the special effects were bananas. What more do you need? Here i'll give props to the actors.
Christian Bale: The acclaimed hottie held his own in this movie with his cool gadgets and swagger that made you want to meet him. His deep voice and towering appearance made you believe in the whole thing.
Maggie Gyllenhaal: Maggie Gyllenhaal did a good job of being the damsel in distress here, being torn between 2 men. She was also MUCH less annoying than Katie Holmes who i felt no sympathy for in the last Batman. So 5 stars to her!
Heath Ledger: First off, rest in peace. I assure all of you that Heath captured the sheer essence of the Joker fantastically. He was edgy and violent and made you believe he could so easily be pushed over the edge, while he was really a criminal genius with extremely dark humor, which made the movie go-ers laugh at many parts. Although his loss in the world has led to sorry in his family and fans, and a possible loss of what could have been great future rolls in movies, at least he left us a a brilliant, chilling performance that we will all remember.
Now, for the only bad parts.
1. Sometimes the plot was so in-depth that it was a little hard to follow.
2. It was also a bit hard to follow because in parts Bruce or Gordon would speak while heroic music would be playing and you wouldn't be able to hear them because they'd be speaking in a very low or deep voice. So it would kinda ruin the moment.
3. Although it was very entertaining and never slow from the start, it was a tad bit long.
thats my review, go see it!
